Today I made my first 'Poster Drop' to advertise Creativate and stopped off at Blue Orange Juice Bar in Ashley Cross. On a rainy December day, it looked like a ray of sunshine!
I'd not been in there before but so glad we stopped off!
When I first went in there was a couple organising a fruit and veg drop off for a detox cleanse programme run by the shop. Customers can buy into a 1-5 day juice detox. The Blue Orange recommend using the freshest fruit and veg and so deliver to your doorstep each day to ensure you are getting the maximum nutrition from your detox.
The whole place smelled so fresh and healthy, I soon realised that I wouldn't be without a juice. The friendly girl behind the counter offered us a couple of sample shots to see which juice we wanted ... we went for the One Eye Opener ... Apple, fennel, cucumber, ginger lemon and orange!
Our lovely juicer enquired about the posters and when I explained, she said that she had always wanted to try pottery. Clay is one of my favourite things to teach. It's always such a magical material, and one of the first things people always want to try. It's a surprisingly versatile material and definitely one to lose hours on !! It's also something that people have rarely tried since their school days, if at all.
Our school is lucky enough to have maintained their ceramic facilities. We offer clay in all years and so the students get a chance to become really familiar with the processes and building techniques that make it such a great material to use. From hand-building to slip casting ... it's a never ending exploration.
Perhaps I will have a new customer! Perhaps I'll try a juice detox from the Blue Orange Juice Bar!!
Like them on Facebook ... I just did! :)
